California Bill of Sale

The bill of sale is a form offered by the California DMV for printing. It is used in the event of a private party sale, as opposed to one that is done with a dealership. And it has a number of spaces for important pieces of information for both parties present. The names, addresses and signatures of both persons in the agreement must be present. Furthermore, the make, model, year and VIN must also be included on the bill of sale. Finally, the sale date and the price that was paid must be on the form. With all of this information, the bill of sale is proof that the transaction took place legally.
